Choco Chip Cookie Dough Protein Bites

Aug 08, 2024

If you know me, you know I love snacks, lol. I also love sweet things and so I like to find ways to sneak protein into sweet, snacky bites.

SO these chocolate chip cookie dough protein bites are one of my new fav snacks and they are really easy to make too!

I highly recommend making a big batch and freezing some so that you can have some for another time too. Especially when that sweet tooth or sugar craving come to say hello ;)

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla protein powder
  • 1 1/8 cups almond flour
  • 1/3 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions:
  1. In a large bowl whisk together the protein powder, almond flour, and salt.
  2. Add the tahini, maple syrup, vanilla, and milk. Stir with a spatula until thoroughly combined and the mixture holds together. Add an additional splash of milk if the mixture is too dry. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  3. Use a large cookie scoop to form into balls, or use your hands to roll into balls approximately three inches (7.5 cm). You can eat them as is or refrigerate them for 15 minutes to firm up. Enjoy!

Notes:
  • Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to five days.
  • Serving Size: One serving is equal to one ball.
  • Tahini substitute: Use peanut butter, almond butter, or cashew butter.
  • Garnish with flaky salt after forming into balls for added flavour.
  • Protein Powder: This recipe was developed and tested using a whey-based protein powder. Please note that if using a different type of protein powder, results may vary.
  • Milk subs: Use soy milk, cashew milk, or oat milk.
