Momo's Fav Green Smoothie
Apr 18, 2024I'm on a big smoothie kick right now (classic me every spring, lol). And this green smoothie recipe is my current go-to smoothie.
When made well balanced with a protein source, healthy fat, and carb source, smoothies can make a great on-the-go breakfast, snack or post-workout option. You can easily mix and match ingredients to create your own fav smoothie and here are a couple of ideas for you to ensure you're making yours well-balanced too!
- Protein powder
- Greek yogurt
- Milk
- Silken tofu
- Kefir
- Powdered peanut butter
- Coconut milk
- Full fat greek yogurt
- Nut butter
- Hemp seed hearts
- Chia seed
- Flax
- Avocado
- Fruit
- Oats
- Riced cauliflower
- Leafy greens
- Avocado (not just a fat source ;))
- 1 cup frozen pineapple (or fruit medley)
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut water
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 giant handful of spinach
- 2 tbsp hemp seeds
- ½ cup of ice
- Add water if needed for desired consistency.
- Add all ingredients to a blender. If the smoothie is too thick, add water.
- If you want to enjoy it as a smoothie bowl, use less water so that it’s thicker.
